Latitude & Longitude Printer

The AX22-0058 is GNSS receiver. In simple terms, it uses different and pairs of satellites in the air to determine your location. What is cool is that it can also tell you your speed! At its simplest form, the data that comes out is longitude and latitude with a few other metadata.

A map/location tracker

The longitude and latitude is cool, but its not easy to read at a glance, so I added an html dashboard that draws an interactive map, and converts those serial data into a point on the map.

Speedometer

Now that we have the location, I wanted to test out the capability of reading my speed. I hooked up a large 54x8 display to the genesis mini, added the antenna on top of my car, and wired it inside, placed right in front of my wheel, and as I was accelerating, the speed was increasing! What a surprise.... but it works!
